Pet Eligibility & Care

  • Yes — I happily groom seniors and dogs with mild to moderate health concerns, provided they can safely tolerate the grooming process.

My priority is your pet’s comfort and well-being, so I do not work on dogs who are extremely medically fragile or unable to stand safely for short periods.

If you’re unsure whether grooming is appropriate for your pet, please reach out and we can discuss their specific needs before booking.

  • We specialize in gentle, one-on-one care. Most nervous dogs do better in our calm, quiet environment. However, for safety reasons, we may stop grooming if your pet becomes aggressive or overly stressed.

  • Pawsh Paws only requires that your dog is up to date on their rabies vaccination, in accordance with state law. Proof of rabies vaccination must be provided prior to your first appointment. Other vaccinations are not required but are recommended for your dog’s overall health and safety.

Scheduling & Booking

  • You can request an appointment directly through our website, or reach out via email or phone. First-time clients will need to complete a short intake form.

  • We recommend every 4–6 weeks to maintain coat health and prevent matting. Regular grooming also helps reduce shedding and keeps your dog looking and feeling great.

  • We encourage first-time clients to be home. For regular clients, as long as we have access to your dog and any special instructions, you do not need to be present.

  • Yes! Clients who pre-book on a 4–6 week schedule receive a 10% loyalty discount through our Client Loyalty Program.

Policies

  • We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee of up to 50% of the service cost.

  • Pawsh Paws does not accept dogs with active flea infestations. If fleas are discovered during the appointment, services will be stopped immediately, and the full grooming fee may still apply. We recommend treating your dog and your home before rescheduling.

For severely matted coats, we may need to shave the coat down for your dog’s health and comfort. This may increase the grooming time and cost. We do not perform excessive or painful de-matting.

  • With your permission, we may take before/after photos to showcase our work on our website or social media. You’ll be asked to consent to this in our client form.
